About the Author
G.R. Kearney is a Chicago-based writer and independent film producer. Kearney's first book, The Small Things: A Day in the Life of Br. James E. Small, S.J., was published by print-on-demand publisher Xlibris in 2001. His writing has appeared in America magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Links magazine, and Company magazine. He has also authored two as-yet unpublished novels and a stage play.
Kearney studied English and writing at Georgetown University. From 1999-2001, he worked as a teacher and coach at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School as part of the school's Jesuit Alumni Volunteer Program. Kearney also spent four years working as an editor and writer at Partners magazine, a publication of the Chicago Province Jesuits, where his work earned numerous awards. Kearney, who holds an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, works for a small investment group in Chicago.
Kearney lives in Chicago with his wife, Tara, who is a journalist.
